Nokia Lumia 800 – The Camera

NOKIA LUMIA 800 - PHOTO

Nokia Lumia 800 – The Camera
22nd November 2011

One of the main reasons I bought the Nokia Lumia 800 is the camera. The phone sports a camera with a 8Mp resolution and a 28mm Karl Zeiss lens. The photos below are from during the morning when the sun was coming up, during the day, a close up of flowers, inside and outside at night. As expected with most of the cameras in phones, the day shots are crisp and clear and the colors on the Nokia Lumia 800 are natural. All the photos below were taken on the ‘auto’ settings. They have been resized to 480 pixels wide. Overall I’m impressed with what it can do. The previous phone I had, a Samsung Galaxy S II took great daylight photos, although the colors seemed too bright and not natural, but shitty low light photos. I’m sure playing with the settings to get better photos is possible, but I wanted this for that time when I didn’t have my Canon DSLR, and as a substitute for that in those times when I need a camera, the Nokia Lumia 800 is excellent. (see previous post on the Nokia Lumia 800). The next post on this camera will cover the video. Until then . . . .
